Instructor III - Yoga

Up to 3 Casual Positions
 
All four of Saanich’s recreation facilities (Saanich Commonwealth Place, Gordon Head Recreation Centre, Cedar Hill Recreation Centre and G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre) are seeking certified staff who ensure that participants are acting in accordance to facility rules and that the facility and equipment are in safe, working condition. Yoga Instructors will be responsible for providing leadership for yoga programs. This may include planning and preparing assigned programs; instructing assigned classes; evaluating participants; record keeping and public relations. 
 
Requirements include completion of Grade 10; three months experience in yoga instruction; certification and training in area of instruction, in accordance with Industry Standards; Emergency First-Aid and CPR “C” as required; and a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (PIC-VS).
 
Successful candidates will work varying shifts, primarily evenings and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).
 
These are C.U.P.E. Local 2011 positions with a wage of $29.51 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits. Job description and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca.
